I am proud to welcome you to Titan Aston Academy.

We are an Alternative Provision Free School and our priority is to give new direction to students who are at risk of permanent exclusion, or who have become disengaged from education. Re-engaging them back into education gives them firm foundations for their future.

Students arrive at our Academy for a variety of reasons and needs. With this in mind, we have a bespoke curriculum designed to meet the needs of the students, and we look at the ‘whole’ child rather than a one size fits all.

Titan Aston Academy was inspected by Ofsted in May 2022 and in three of four categories, were graded ‘Good’. Myself and my staff are continuing to uphold these judgements and constantly strive to improve further, to ensure the best education for our students.

As a Trust we pride ourselves on our five core values which are, TEACH, INSPIRE, TRANSFORM, ACHIEVE and NURTURE.

Our focus is on providing an alternative school for young people from Years 1 to 11.

Titan Aston Academy joined a MAT in 2018 alongside Titan St Georges Academy. Our focus is on providing an alternative school for young people from Years 10 to 11. We are providers of high-quality alternative education ‘GIVING New DIRECTION’. Our aim is to provide every student with a vision for life through a personalised curriculum, enabling each individual to fulfil their potential in education, employment and life.

Our young people are drawn from all over Birmingham, having originally started within the North West network, as well as young people being referred directly through the local authority. Our Academies are situated within a unique partnership of educators. It provides opportunities for young people to engage in a range of activities including; enterprise initiatives, sports fixtures, careers events and arts performances.

As part of an extensive network of schools, our Academy staff benefit from access to wide-ranging professional development. This means they are able to access the latest in pedagogy to impact directly on the quality of learning in classrooms. We work in partnership with parents, home schools, colleges, the Probation Service, West Midlands Police and many other stakeholder services and outside agencies. Our expectations of success, performance, standards of behaviour and contribution to Academy life are high.

We offer some of the best alternative educational opportunities in the West Midlands and with dedicated and gifted teaching staff and mentors, we offer unyielding commitment to our pupils’ success. We have a vision to provide the best chance for disadvantaged children and young people of Birmingham to compete in this competitive world. We hope to give our students the opportunity of being on an equal playing field with others, by helping them to achieve the best they possibly can.
